
Rob Rose of TRIFC.org has just launched an intern position with his non-profit org for working on projects for children with disabilities in Nepal. This position is located in Bellevue and meets twice a week. For more info, contact Rob Rose info[at]trifc[dot]org or check out the text below.
Volunteer Internship Position
Length of volunteer service – one-quarter to one-year depending on our needs and the interest of the intern.
Our organization focus is on helping children and adults with disability so a volunteer will most likely be working in these areas.
Possible avenues of volunteer service (This would be dependant upon the volunteer’s interests and areas of study):
1.) Program Development – Take an agreed-upon project concept and develop it from concept to implementation. This would involve working directly with one of our partner organizations in Nepal.
2.) Fund Development – Research and write grants for projects.
3.) Marketing Development – Help develop and/or maintain new areas of market reach for TRIFC.org. Social marketing site development as well as development of more traditional means of extending our reach and exposure.
4.) Cultural Tie-ins – Develop programs that would connect People With Disability (PWD’s) on the BC campus with PWD’s in Nepal.
Volunteer Time Expectations – Meet with TRIFC.org representative at least twice a week (one meeting can be. 5-10 hours of volunteer service per week.
